CN VII is Facial. CN VIII is Vestibulocochlear. It would be incorrect to call the nerve "Auditory" because CNVIII does more than hearing alone, it also plays a role in balance and position.

sure, it would be technically incorrect, but it is a good way to remember it. these are just memory tricks, and i think that the O O O To Touch A Girl's Vagina And Hymen is a pretty universal mnemonic...however, beyond Gross Anatomy, they are pretty routine to remember, and the mnemonic becomes obsolete! i can't imagind what a prof would say if he asked me about CN VII and i had to say the mnemonic to remember it...it should be instant recall.
