Passed it ...!!!

Hi guys,

I just received my score: 214/87. I know my score is not excellent but at least it means that I don't have to read Anatomy and Biochemistry again..!!!

I am writing this to remind the anxious guys of the fact that it is really not a difficult exam, impossible to pass. A brief background: FMG, graduated 11 yrs ago, married, two babies. We had a move 1 month before the exam and I had taken Step-2 only 2 months before it. So, I read for the exam only about 2 months. The resources I used:

FA
Kaplan CD
NMS tests

Please note that this exam is just like so many other exams we have already passed to be here. Even if the content seems somehow tougher, the scoring system is designed so that most of those who take it, will pass. So, once you are reading for it, tell yourselves: I have more chance to pass than fail.

No offense, but if its not a difficult exam you should have gotten way over the mean(like maybe 1 or 2 standard deviations) .Right??

graduated 11 years ago and studied for only 2 months and passed with 87? this is ALL BU........pooh pooh! No one care, don't need TO SHOW OFF!

why didn't you take the board right after you graduated? why did you wait for 11 years later? How many times did you fail this exam before you passed? Did you really take 11 years to prepare for this exam?

Hi guys,

I really understand that there's a lot of pressure before taking the exam and that you might be a little upset. But why this anger?!!! Say something you will not be embarrassed of later.

I thought the message of my input was clear enough: I wanted to encourage those who are really scared from the exam to learn that it's not so horrible as one might imagine before taking it. Also by mentioning what I had read, I wanted to show them that they do not necessarily need a fortune to buy multiple expensive resources and attend too many existing courses to succeed. Of course, if one wants to do this, it's absolutely his/her right.

It's really funny to hear that I'm showing off..!!! Think a moment before saying anything please..!! We don't even know each other's names!!! How can I be showing off then? For whom? While there are others who pass the exam with a 97/239 or higher, I see no reason to show off with a 87/214..!!

Since you seem so interested in my personal life, I should inform you that I have just arrived to the States for familial reasons (my spouse is an American citizen) and that's why I have to pass the boards only now. This has been my first attempt for the exams. It might make you still more upset, but I also took my 2CS, one week after step-1. I don't know if I will pass it or not, but am happy to have taken all these exams in chain. Now, I have some time to pass with my babies at least.

Thank you for this honest advice. I also personally think that most of us use too many resources unnecessarily instead of reading a few of them very well. Your input is encouraging. I hope you pass your 2CS and get rid of all these hassles.
