    A newbie question

I am just confused about how to calculate the score in usmle step 1. I heard there are 7 blocks and 50qs of each block, and among them, there is one block that is not counted for final score, is this correct? So totally only 6 block 300qs are really counted!?

    thanks!

    Scoring!

You are right! You will need to solve 7 blocks ( 7x50) which is 350qs, although among them there will be 50 “testing” ( whatever that means) qs which want be counted in your score. Can you recognize those 50 "testing" qs?No. Are they in one block? Probably not, but I’m not sure. Conclusion - be prepared for each q, and at the end pray God that those qs that you missed were just those “testing” qs!
    Good luck!
