Preparing for USMLE Step 1.

Hi All!

I will be attending a 6-yr med. program starting with 2 yrs pre-med & then 2 yrs med and then i will be writing my USMLE 1 (after that only comes the 2 yrs internship).

My question to ALL of you, is when do you suggest I start preparing? I have already just started looking over the book, and obviously much of the info. makes NO sense to me, but i am sure I would need a solid foundation in Biology, Chem, Physics, Physiology, Organic Chem. etc.

But is it really true, the earlier I start preparing the better or do you recommend I just wait it out?

Thanks

Regards,
Vidya R.
