    Did you know?

I'm opening this thread in terms for educational purposes; particular for USMLE Step 1. Everyone is welcome to write, share, comment, and/or give a thought in terms of Medical Education. Again this thread is meant for MEDICAL EDUCATION - NOT meant for thrashing or bashing each. This is for Medical Education Thread and I'm asking to keep it as clean as it suppose to be. When someone wants to start a new topic, it would be a good idea to start with "Did you know?" and from there, start discussing. This is meant to HELP people around for Step 1. All the best!!!!!!

    Hello Friends,

I want to share some facts with you just for medical knowledge, read it below :

    1. Diverticula are painless out-pouchings of the colon or large intestine. If they become inflamed or infected it is called Diverticulitis.

    2. Achalasia-It is due to loss of inhibitory ganglion cells of the myenteric plexus of the lower esophageal
    sphincter.

    3. Achalasia is the failure of lower esophageal sphincter to relax with swallowing.

    4. Ebola virus can causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and can lead bleeding- hemorrhagic shock.

    5. Most common infection associated with gullian barre syndrome is campylobacter jejuni

You can also checkout usmle video lectures and other medical videos only at ftplectures .

    Thanks & Regads

With all due respect, that was an extremely weak post. Those are basic pathologic characteristics with weak microbiology integration. I see no reason why this should drive any user to want to sign up for your videos. Also, you spelled "regards" incorrectly. Guys stick to DIT & USMLE express (trust me). This should be your last choice...
