    Advice, improving score

The last couple of weeks I got really frustrated, as I got a 187 on my last NBME a few days before the date I was originally gonna take my Step 1. I went to the PASS prg last yr. I read throught the First Aid a couple of times, complementing with other sources (Kaplan books, videos, pharm & pathology reviews). I've done the USMLE World bank twice... A friend of mine told me to read the Goljan book and I'm doing so.... what else should I do?? All the bars in my last nbme were right in the MIDDLE. HELP!

i'm right there with you, i only have 2 left that i havent taken yet as well.
I failed all the other ones that i took...really discouraging. A friend who did really well told me to reread kaplan as many times as possible but i dont know if that will really help, i just dont know what to do anymore. I have 2007 edition of FA...is 09 edition very different, should i buy it?

I say... no ... there is no need to buy another FA since you are already very faimilar with your 2007 edition and probably have a lot of notes in it.. If you want, just go to bookstore and see what are the difference and write them down.

actually i very much recommend buying the 2009 if you have the 2007, there is a lot more information and is much more organized in the updated version. it's almost like night and day, i highly recommend it.
