behavioral/ethics question
hey there was was a question i read recently that i wasn't sure of,
basically an older sibling or aunt or something tested positive for some genetic disease, and the question said that the parents wanted to test their 12 year old girl (even tho she is normal). the answer choices were like 'wait until she's child bearing age before u test her' or 'wait until she's sexually active' or 'don't test her without her approval' etc. so i'm thinking that the parents have complete power over children until they are emacipated,, that means that parents can choose to have whatever tests are done on the kids? is this correct thinking thanks |
