dismissed and step 1

I am so distressed. I really hope someone can help me. I was recently dismissed from med school after 5th semester. I wanted to know if I can still sit for the step 1--from what I know...I would have needed to finish basic science, 5th semester, the comp...which I did. I did fail to register with the school within the window period...hence my dismissal..thank you

Let me guess, your an SMU student. You are one of MANY who got dismissed this month for not passing step 1. It might have something to do with SMU not having enough clinical spots, but the easy way to cut down on students is dismiss who ever did not pass step 1.
