    Regarding review courses

    Hi I have a question... How important is it to take Kaplan or any other review course for USMLE step 1? Is it possible to score high if you dont take these review courses...?

    I was forced to sit through the video tapes, never paid attention. Did fairly well. Some of their books are nice though.

    If you are a US med student you dont need them, it says in a research that I read a long time ago, that did not matter, unless you were REALLY behind, BUT overall did no matter.
    If you are an IMG, and also have been out of school for sometime it will help to do a review course.
    Yes you can score high without a review course.
