score not improving

Hi
I am really frustrated and could use some advice. I am scoring 50% on uw questions. My scores are not improving and my exam is in 3 weeks. I have read the material but I am having difficulty answering the questions. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance

since too many factors can alter uw scores.. dont rely on it. take nbme and see where you stand. do all 4 if you could. recommended pattern: 1, 4, 2, 3.

know how you feel!

My exam is in about 2 weeks, july 6, and i just finished UW with about 50% cum and thats what i started with. Take the NBMEs, I saw a big change btw NBME 1 and 3 (about 90 points) over 3 weeks, and alot of the stuff on the NBME I only knew because it seemed similar to UW. So just use UW to learn and take an NBME to see where you stand.

I am also frustrated with USMLE world, I thought I would do around 100 questions a day, however I am only able to do one block of 50 a day and the rest of the day goes in reading the answer and stuff around the answer. I also have noticed that my score is not improving. It seems each block I do is a completely new system and there isn't a lot of overlap.
Can anyone post a correlation between USMLE world and step scores or what the genereal consensus is. Thanks.

For Usmle world in THEORY
more than 65% cum= prepare to enlight the people around you.
more than 60% cum= in the 90's or high 80's
Above 55% cum= You will PASS and might get into the low 80's
50% you are have a high chance of passing or been really close of passing.

DICLAIMER:
At the end is how much you learn from the question, is not te same scoring in the 40's BUT learning the concepts, than scoring in the 50's and not learning the concepts.

Hi
Thanks for your replies. Can anyone tell me what I could do to improve the uw scores. I will follow the advice about the nbme..... but I think my main problem is answering questions in general. I feel I am at the border where it can go either way and I want to be on the right side of the border by passing it. Your advice and opinion is greatly appreciated
Thank you

I forgot to mention that I am doing the uw questions in tutor mode. Sometimes the explaination seems so obvious yet I answer incorrectly.
Is there any other way for improving the end result
thanks again

Sounds like you may have a bit of anxiety when you are taking the exams. Anyways, I would take the exams in 50 question blocks and what I found helpful was to look at every answer explanation except for the questions in which were obviously right, and I would take notes on the concepts as to why my answer was wrong or if I was guessing as to why my answer was right. Don't forget to read educational objective at the bottom. Don't worry so much about your scores right now, just LEARN.

I have recently started the UW questions and I know your frusteration. I am scoring between 46% - 56%. I have only done 5 tests so far but it's very frusterating. I have till the end of august...but still I honestly thought I would be scoring a little higher. I know UW questions are more forlearning...but it's scary to know that I need to raise my scores by about 10% in the next month. Is it doable??
