Tommyk said about B-cell maturation
") B cells don't pass thru thymus but the precursors mature in GALT and Peyer's patches. "
While factual position is B-cell maturation is in two phases
A:Antigen- independent which is upt to sIg+ cells .This occurs purely in central lymphoid tissue like fetal liver and bone marrow
B:Antigen -dependent maturaion = This stage occurs when B-cells is exposed to antigen from the sIg+ to plasma cells and memory cells. This maturation is not restricted to GALT or Peyer's Patches rather all peripheral lymphoid tissue like
1: Spleen
2:Lymph nodes
3:BALT
4:GALT
Pl do comment on it. Thanks a lot
