So you want to predict your score based on UW% and want to score a 99. You all know that NBME are the best predictors because they come from the horse mouth.
I will say this is for the really hardcore, it does not mean you will not get a 99 if you do not score like this. This is just a HARDCORE way. So you do a block of questions and you end up with a 65% and you see that the average is 55%. Good for you because it means you are 10% above the average. 2- Go to incorrect questions and count how many of them where 50% of people getting it correct and above. Lets say is 8 Well those questions you were suppose to know, remember Im been EXTRA hard here, to be moderate you can use above 60%. 3- Now select correct questions and you count how many of them where below 39% of people getting it correct. Lets say 3 questions. 4- Now substract the incorrect question that where above 50% minus the correct questions that where below 39%. In this case 8-3= 5 meaning that You where suppose to get 5 questions more. REMEMBER this is just for the people that want to be in the worst case scenario and be sure they will score 99, actually nothing garantee a 99 but this method will for sure make you "sweet" (on purporse bad spelling) Try to do this until you are able to get +1 or more questions diference. you will see your average will always be higher than the rest and that you are in the 99 zone. Take NBME exam and for sure you will be scoring really good. Remember that UW have UWSA= Usmle World Self Assesment exam, some people say is harder than the real exam and you score about 5 less than the real exam. I think in the future people will realise that UWSA is also as good as NBME as a predictor and that is better in a way because you get the explanations. My two cents
