but will it be a better idea to sign up for kaplan q bank instead
the very same thought is lurking in the back of my head.. uw for the second time or qbank... (i am taking notes for uw). ive been thinking about uw second time but this time random, timed mode and going over explanations only on incorrect ones. money is not an issue and time frame is one month. all suggestions appreciated.

I would suggest kaplan qbank... I did both and found both to be helpful for the exam... they both present questions in different styles, and I think the more exposure to differenty styles of questions, the more prepared you will be. Also I think Kaplan qbank is a bit more up to date than UW is.

Kaplan Qbank is a good source, don't get me wrong. But USMLEWorld you should be doing as soon as you can. Some questions are almost verbatim from my USMLE exam, the questions were tougher than the real thing, the answer explanations are EXCELLENT <- you will learn alot just be practicing, and the format is very similar in most regards.

Also they said this:

Use our QBank as a learning tool instead of assessment tool.

Try to go over all questions number of times and read the explanations for 2-3 times.

Does this percentage apply to unused questions? I am now scoring in the 70-80% of mixed 50 questions, but I have done USMLE world once and reviewed all explanations in the tutor mode. Now in the timed random mode I am scoring in the 70-80's. Does this mean anything since I already reviewed the test bank? Anyone?

The correlation pertains to unused questions I believe

The explanations for USMLE World is more than good. It is very thorough. I am hoping that it is as good for Step 2 as it was for Step 1.
