YES!

I am very happy to be of use. I figure if I had this kind of help, I would have appreciated it.

Some of the people talking negative reminds me of when I was teaching MCAT in the USA. I read the message boards, and I could not believe that a lot of people were angry when others got into medical school.

At my still rather young age am trying to understand why some people are like that. Even if you are feeling bad and unlucky, WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU WISH IT ON SOMEONE ELSE? BECAUSE, DOES IT MAKE THE PERSON BETTER? RICHER? SMARTER? No, it does not help a person if the one next to him falls down. But I was shocked when I got some mail and saw sites where people would be happy at another's misfortune. I just don't feel comfortable about that way of thinking.

The Hell with them Tommy - you rock

Hey TOmmyK.
I have been following this site on and off for about 5 months and recently took step1 and found out i passed with oasis trick. I RAN OUT OF TIME before reading your posts even though i had them all on my comp ready to go. I just didnt have sufficient time to review not even ONE of your HY but heard they were excellent. I want to thank you for your ungodly unselfishness and countless hours you have put into this site. Those that complain about your help and suck it because I didnt know what to expect either and I spent HOURS talking to ppl who took step 1 and tried my best to find out how to prepare. I prepared on my own the HARD WAY - Netters open along side with Harrisons, Kaplan, BRS books, Steadman's Dictionary, and Guyton Physio. I spent 5 months preparing this way and even though I know my test was very very difficult, i think i did quite well. I chose to prepare the way i wanted to and took advice that i needed to take. So to tall those ppl that are complaining, you can tell them that perhaps they are not in the appropriate profession and that they should of done a bit more investigating before jumping into any exam.
And Again...I wish I had time to read your posts...but thanks for your effort and true heart.
Mike

Also, I am getting messages from people who passed Step 1 who feel I am giving too much help to the current test takers.

TommyK,

I would also like to "Thank You" for taking time out of your busy schedule to help others pass the Ultimate test (Step #1).

What you have done for USMLE test takers is no less than OUTSTANDING.

You have my respect and I truly admire what you have done for the VALUEMD members and guests.

God Bless You and your family Dr. TommyK

Tommyk...You are the man! I just started reading your HY questions for the first time yesterday and believe me that is all that I have done since then till today. I can not seem to get my eyes off of your valueable Questions! They are da Bomb! And i sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for your efforts. Please pay no heed to the haters hating against your HY information. look at the support you have here! We are all with you!
By the way I love the whole humor incorporation in your questions! Keeps me from getting tired or losing track of the content!
I take step 1 on july 27th. I plan on going through all your Questions before that...making notes alongside my FA book. Will let you know how my exam went!
Take care
God Bless ya buddy
Rak

Do not heed the naysayers...

Tommy,
Don't mind the nay sayers. In this world, there will always be sadists and others who are happy for other people's good fortune. Good and evil people will always exist. This just goes to show how warped the minds of people writing you the mails are - though they have passed and gone into residency, they don't wish for help to be offered to others. One should pray for such people, because they are of all people, most miserable. You are doing a good job TommyK. Do keep it up. You have a large heart. I always wondered how one person can just dedicate so much time to helping people - most of whom he does not even know, and for free. You deserve an award. I do wish you the good things of life.
