The point of the high yield is that you are correct that gonorrhea should be treated with ceftriaxone and cipro and you are right that I should have been more clear that although there are reticulocytes, my point is that due to the anemia, all RBCs, WBCs, are LOW, so the proportion of reticulocytes are higher. But you are right, there aren't a LOT of reiculocytes on a smear. That said, the POINT WAS THAT CHLORAMPHENICOL was given which caused the anemia, even though other drugs should have been chosen.
