Kindly advise .Strategy for last 2 weeks

My exam is on 29th dec .I'm planning to take nbme on 22nd .What should be the best course to follow in these last days .My UW average mixed blocks ,tutor mode is 55% .
I have done 62% of q's ,planning to finish it this week .
How do you all rate this average ?Is it too low ?
I am still debating .My eligibility is expiring in dec so kinda am pushing towards giving exam .Any advices would be appreciated .
I am kind of exhausted as well .Again all the organ systems are all around 50's in UW .No special week points or high in anything .I have been around the same average in all the organ systems .Except anatomy which is really bad .
Any advice would be appreciated .Thank you

Don't rely on any average on any question bank! The nbme exams are the best for predicting your step 1 performance. Why wait till the 22nd to take the nbme? Take one right now! That way you will have time to improve in your weak areas. Take a secondnbme after you have finished all your questions. I recommend doing nbme form 2 and form 3. The last few days before your exam should be review only. I also highly recommend listening to goljan audio if you havent already. good luck

I agree that q banks are not good predictors .I shall take nbme to figure that out .However because my average is same in all subjects & organs (50's)in q bank and last nbme ,i am sure it won't be able to tell weak areas like last time .
What score in nbme is OK to take exam ?
I have done Dr Goljan lectures twice .I am hoping to go through medessentials this week and finish my UW .
I am not improving much though .It's a bit disappointing but i have to do this exam no matter what it takes .I might consider even postponing if nbme doesn't work out .But i am not giving up on it ..Although i did postpone last time and scores are still not making up for the extra time that i spent studying .
Any other suggestions would be welcome .Thank you and God bless

I did all four nbme's. I took the last one (form 2), two days before my exam. It predicted a score of 216 (this was the highest score out of all forms). My actual Step 1 score was 203.

Every experience is different. I know two classmates who failed every single NBME (one of them went into the exam with a 320) and both of them passed. Another classmate who scored 400 on nbme form 2, but failed Step 1. So, i would recommend that you get atleast a 450 on nbme 2 or 3. That way you have a bit of a cushion when it comes to the real score.

Good luck

Thanks Superoxide .I think you are right .I don't want to take chance of flunking the exam knowingly so i will take nbme 3 and see where i stand .If it is in 450 range then i will go or i guess i will have to keep pushing more .Thanks and Good luck in your persuits.
