again, thank you but I really am sincerely hoping...
Thanks so much, your appreciation motivates me. I have all these notes from when I took the test last year, and I do not want to see ANYBODY held back because of the USMLE Step 1. I am now studying for Step 2. There are a very FIXED number of concepts/questions/factoids whatever that CAN be mastered by EVERYONE. One should not feel bad if they fail...just know it is ONLY A MATTER OF TIME, NOT IF, BUT WHEN! People just need to study the right stuff that the NBME stresses and in the right way. I have an "ultimate" collection of info, and I want to present it so anyone who is having trouble studying for the test can get a "feel" for what the NBME wants. For instance, they HAVE TO ASK every test taker about common findings (diabetes, hyperlipidemia) and findings that you CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS (cardiac stuff)! There are a billion ways to ask the concept that taking birth control pills with phenobarbital is bad because it revs up to P450 system, but do you see, it is ONE concept! That is what I am stressing in these questions. Don't memorize, but really understand.
NEVER NEVER NEVER give up, any of you, and if I can continue to be of help, then I really do feel a certain joy from it. When I am about to die later on, what will I reflect on? I will think of those times when I did some "good". And I am hoping that by steering people through this mega hurdle and monster of a test, I can do something good.
Remember though, there are NO QUICKY SHORTCUTS! But I believe if you follow my "concepts" then you will gain the understanding to pass the test and become good doctors and really help other people and be happy. But...know that you WILL get questions that you have NO CLUE HOW to solve. But the key to passing is to NOT MISS THE BASIC CONCEPTS which I am desperately trying to share here. I hope my time will not just help people pass, but become better doctors. God Bless everyone on this forum!
