please help me: STep1 application q
I am doing Step1 application to ECFMG. They are very picky in their application instruction, about matching names “exactly” in the diploma and the ID. I am almost scared to call them to verify the following question.
My name is listed as "ZHANG (all capitalized to indicate that this is last name) Ming (only M is capitalized)", in English version of my medical diploma.
My green card says "Zhang, Ming" (with a comma). Zhang is my family name/ last name.
Do you think I should worry about this? I do not know if ECFMG understand Chinese name has a reverse sequence. Or do you think they understand that letters all capitalized means that this is my last name? I am not sure this is international practice, actually.
Thanks a lot. I know this is a very stupid thing to be nervous about. But in their application instruction they say they will reject application if names don’t match.
