Falcon vs Kaplan vs [Pass] vs Princeton

We had a Falcon rep come give us a talk today. His presentation kinda excited me b/c Falcon's approach made more sense than Kaplan. I recalled that I did much better on one shelf exam just doing First Aid and retired NMBE than on another shelf where I did ~700 Kaplan questions + ~700 PreTest questions.

So I would like to know if anyone has taken Falcon, and also if their reported "30-40 points increase on average" is actually true?

Also, how about other review services like "Pass/Compass?????" or Princeton Review?

hello ppl, i voted for kaplan, i find it better for me,,,,,,its not the matter of review courses,,,the main issue is which course is best for you,,,and all of them have almost the same material ,,,i have some friends who had got 90% they just studied FA and Qbank,,,,,and reviewed only the course text books.....
good luck folks for the exam ......

I have found that Falcon is the best course to take by leaps and bounds. I took Kaplan for step 1 and failed. After talking to Falcon I decided it was right for me. I have taken all their review courses and passed with flying colors. I owe alot to Falcon and the people who run it. I highly recommed Falcon if your serious about passing the boards. By the way I did pass step 1 with a 30 point increase, passed Step 2 CK and CS on the first attempt and matched my first choice.

Thumbs up Md

I took Falcon and I highly recomend it. The material is very good, the faculty very helpful and enjoy teaching, some friends and I are very lucky to have chosen that program, and now enjoy a good spot in the residency of our choice. Good luck to you!

Falcon got my vote.

Captured well above. The program won't write the test for you. Work hard at which ever you choose and you'll get your reward.

Incoming 1st year Resident

You should be excited about Falcon because it happened for me and for so many other students. I also took Kaplan (live prep and web prep), worked hard, and came up short. Falcon was my last hope and after a long, hard haul I succeeded with a more than 40 point increase on Step 1 and a 25 point increase on Step 2. Not exactly the 30-40 point increase, but who cares? I'm a resident surgeon now! I won't knock down Kaplan, but Falcon helped make me what I am now. You can call the program anytime and ask questions. Hey, it can't hurt! Good luck!

I took Falcon for Step 1 and scored 40 points higher than my goal. I actually had a lot of fun taking the review course (meeting people from all over the US and from other countries) and the review material was enjoyable... as were the lecturers.
I then took it for Step 2 and, again, it exceeded my expectations. I matched into my #1 choice for Ophthalmology. Definitely recommend Falcon.

I took Kaplan for the MCAT and I don't believe it helped.

Falcon vs Kaplan

Falcon has my vote...The material was concise and very accurate. The study techniques were strict, but they worked. My score went up a total of 30 points from my starting point.
