My Exam Experience

I took my step1. i am not having a good feeling thinking of my performance. I thought the exam was much tougher than the questions in all qbanks. but kaplan and nbme was closer to the real test questions. most of them from immunology, pathology and biochemistry.they are testing the molecular basis for all diseases specially neoplasia. first aid doesnt give a good idea of the diseaes and it will force you to memorise which is certainly not going to help in exam and is not worth giving a last minute review. but instead i suggest to go through the pathology text by robbins. kaplan notes has covered very well for rest of subjects. this is just my view of the exam.

Robbin Pathology text book is huge. I would not recommend that for the test. Use STARS Pathology by Goljan.
