When to stop reading and begin Kaplan Qbank

Hi guys

I have a question. When is the right time to stop reading the material for Step 1 such as Kaplan Notes, FA or whatever and start practicing questions, either Umsle world or Kaplan Q bank

I read twice the Kaplan Notes and now I'm finishing FA but ALWAYS you forget any detail.

Is it the result of the new Qbank that will indicate you to pospone your exam?. For example if I scored 60 then, Is it better to reschedule your step 1 appointment and take 2 months to re read your material?

Thanks in advance for your kind response

You should definitely start doing the kaplan q-bank questions by doing 50 randomized questions. Then, review each question and read the explanation for each question and all the answer choices. This way, by the time you get through all the kaplan questions, you've essentially been reviewing the material. Also, the info. will stick better once you do a question and then read all the answer choices. Make some notes into your first aid from the answer choice explanations and when you're done with all the questions review your first aid again two to three times and you'll be ready for the exam.

I finished all the kaplan q-bank questions and averaged about 63% overall and got a 215/89 on my step. All i studied was First Aid and the kaplan q-bank questions.

Buy online you can get both the Videos and Notes. I would recommend under Google: USMLE Step 1 Kaplan videos or something like that. I think i found a website for it, but i dont think they let me post it here (copyright materials you know how that is). However, you can search the same way on Google. Good luck
