score of 81. help plzzzzzz

i just managed 81 / 199 on step 1.. with two nbme scores of exact 230. uw of 69.
i am totally down and out.
i request ppl out thr to give me a frank opinion of should i continue??
i am an img with NO visa.
will hav to try for observerships. NO research.
plz help.
interested in im/fp any where.

You should definitely continue......most residencies have a requirement to get 80,...and you accomplished that......you should now just focus all your attention on smoking the Step 2......in a matter of fact i've heard that residencies usually put more emphasis on the Step 2 CK,....so chin up and give it your best......and congrats on passing!!

I'm taking Step 1 in March......

1- Congrats in passing the exam.
2- That is a great score, I understand the part of you needing a visa you will need/want a higher score.
3-There are some places that they just want to see that you passed all the exams and they give visas.
4- Recently people say that they are looking more into step2ck rather than step1 score because is more clinical.
