Whoosahhhh... I passed!!

okk guys ... I climbed the mountain, and I'm thankful for what life has offered me so far! Here is my vital stats during this long and arduous process.

NBME 1: 340
NBME 2: 390
NBME 3: 325
Free USMLE questions: 1st try 67%, 2nd try 67%, 3rd try 74% (I did not try to remember any of the questions .... it was very objective)

STEP 1 SCORE 202, 83%

AS YOU CAN SEE, THE NBME SCORE DID NOT CORRELATE WITH THE REAL DEAL... AND IRONICALLY, THE STEP 1 QUESTIONS WERE MUCH HARDER THAN THE NBME QUESTIONS AND VERY SIMILAR TO USMLEWORLD QUESTIONS ....BUT EVEN LONGER IN LENGTH!!!!

THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE:
  1. Finish the USMLEWorld bank, at least twice and STUDY THE ANSWERS!
  2. I READ USMLE STEP 1 DEJA VU AT least 1 month before the exam
  3. I went over Kaplan pathology twice, pharmacology twice
  4. I used High Yield for neuro, biochem, psy ... BRS for physio and class notes for micro (I did not find anything more useful that the good old powerpoints I had back in medschool ... they were full of pictures and demonstrations!)
  5. READ FIRST AID AT LEAST 3 TIMES !!!!!
YOU CAN'T GO WRONG IF YOU DID THE ABOVE CORRECTLY!

BEST OF LUCK! ANYTHING ELSE ..JUST HIT ME UP!!

Thanks Jonah! ... Voila .. the link to Amazon.. but I highly recommend you to go to a bookstore and check out the item yourself ... since everyone has his/her own taste when it comes to review books.. For me, I found it helpful specially the last section where it offers the most common diagnosis of diseases, and indeed, on Step 1, some of them popped up!

Amazon.com: Deja Review: USMLE Step 1 Essentials (Total Recall Series): Books: John H. Naheedy,Daniel Orringer
