Thumbs up I'm back!

Sorry about the delay in getting back on VMD guys! I took a few days off for some much needed R & R!

Here was my experience with the monster (for hopefully the 3rd and final time):

Exam date: Wednesday, November 14th

You can read the previous posts to find my NBME and qbank scores.

Understandably under a lot of stress the night before (considering it is my 3rd attempt), I was unable to fall asleep until 2am which only gave me 4 hours of rest to last me the entire day of the exam. I had a huge headache the entire day, but still pushed myself through and managed to survive.

Material: Overall, the exam was evenly distributed. Obviously Path, Pharm, and Physio comprised about 60-65% of my exam.
  1. 3-5 molecular questions per block
  2. 3-5 behavioral questions per block
  3. 5-7 micro/immuno questions per block
  4. 2-4 anatomy/histo/cell bio questions per block
  5. 5-8 biochem/genetics questions per block
  6. the rest were path/pharm/physio or some combination of the 3
Time was definitely not a factor for me. I was finishing each block with at least 3 minutes to spare (which gave me enough time to go back and double check the math on the behavioral/epi questions).

I will rank the following blocks on a scale of 1 to 10 in difficulty (10 being the most difficult):
Block 1 = 3
Block 2 = 3
Block 3 = 10
Block 4 = 6
Block 5 = 6
Block 6 = 8
Block 7 = 10

USMLERx really helped. I found many of the same topics tested on Rx that were on my exam.

There were about 5-8 CT's/X-rays/MRI's/Drawings/Angiograms/EEG's, etc. per block. I had one question with answer choices from A to M (however, it was a very easy question and the answer was M; so be sure to start from the bottom on the ones with A to M answer choices!).

If any of you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask and I will be more than happy to reply. I know I'm leaving so much out. I will be anxiously waiting the next 3 to 4 weeks, and will definitely return to post my results (God willing for the last and final time!).

God bless you all that encouraged and supported me along the way; I will have all of you (after the Almighty) to thank for your kind words, advice, and good spirit.
