Do I need to retake NBME Exam?
My question is simple.
I have gone through 3 NBME Exams already and honestly the score for NBME 2 and NBME 3 varies greatly. I dont know what happened to me with NBME 3, but it was not good. I got 460 for NBME 2 and 380 for NBME 3, dont know how it happened. My question is, let's say I study more right now and everyone keeps saying that NBME 2 is the best indicator, which form do I take then? Do I retake NBME 3, NBME 2? I'm confused because I have heard mixed opinions of people about NBME 3 and NBME 4 as of being too hard etc. Thanks for any advice. |

In the past NBME 2 was the best predictable but now it seems that NBME 3, is closest to the real test and more predictable.
Also remember that NBME 3 is the most dificult of ALL of the NBMES ok :0) NBME 4 is the second hardest. Because people tend to take the NBME2 near the exam that is why its more reliable for the test. a 380 its a passing score.

380 is a passing score but is always good to be above 400 or better yet 450.
