Thread: oasis trick

hey guys does the oasis trickwork if it doesnt tell u that the score report has come out? and does it work for people who have gone past their eligibilty period? someone please answer a.s.a.p....thanks

YES! It is still working, but you have to wait until your score is reported in Oasis and then.....log in and go ahead and try to apply for the step1 if you passed....you get the "red note"

how do u know that ur score has been reported?

Login in oasis, go to your USMLE/CSA score reports, if it says that it is reported and the date,( it means that the score is reported and on its way in the mail) you can go ahead and try to register to take Step 1, if you passed, you'll get the message: "our records indicate that you already passed this step" or something like that...... If your score is not reported: do not try the trick, because It will let you register.

for step 2 scores... i read that they let them register and then the students find out they pass... when they go for a refund, they are charged $100... you think they did this for step 1 score reporting too???

well, not to me, I did the trick for step 1 on jan 18, and it worked back then. I do not know if that, now, is a new thing

My Step 1 exam date was on March 14th, 2007. Assuming my score has been reported, what will be the typical approximate date and time that I will be able to do the Oasis trick? TIA!

I took mine on March 14th too! I was told the 3rd Thursday (i.e. March 29th) after the exam we can try the Oasis trick. Not sure, but maybe someone on here can confirm.

I took the exam March 16th, the score was just reported today. I tried to reapply and got a message saying that I already passed.....THANK GOD... so I think the Oasis Trick still works...at least I hope so....I will now impatiently await my score.
