Took Step 1 on July 25th. Score reported via email PDF file on Thurs Aug 16 in the evening.
NBME 1: May 23: 380 (186)
NBME 3: July 10: 330 (172)
Kaplan Q Bank: 100% completed, (all randomized) 56% avg
Actual Step 1 Score: 200/82

The performance profile was completely diff from those received on my NBME forms.. for those of you who are taking the forms and thinking "I thought I was good at renal/urinary!" Don't be too disheartened.
Thanks to all of you on this forum for your support. My first 3 attempts were exactly 71 so Im happy to be moving on; if God wants you to be an MD, He will make it happen!

Congrats men. nice score.
Can you tell us how the profile looks in the PDF file?
Does it looks like an NBME score?

I dont know why it just re-posted what I put earlier! The PDF looks exactly like what they used to send in the mail.. it is 2 pgs.. one with the score, one page with the performance profile. It was nice as I was able to attach & email to my school already rather than waiting another few days to get in the mail. Also, I had been checking OASIS & Im pretty sure the moment they updated OASIS, I got the email, so the OASIS "trick" will soon be obsolete.

MCAT 30
Ross Basic Science GPA 3.9
Comp 210?
NBME 1 (1 month before) 216
NBME 2 (2 weeks before) 232
NBME 3 (3 days before) 232

238/99

I spent 6 weeks preparing for this. 1st Aid & Goljan were money. I also used Kaplan Home Study books & QBank. I cannot stress how important questions are. I read through the material and I think that I know it until I encounter some questions which force me to apply the book knowledge into actual vignettes. I only read through some parts of the Home Study books. I also used BRS physio because I love Costanzo. I never watched PASS or Kaplan because I have the attention span of a fly.

It is also very important to get a good foundation when you are actually taking the classes. I tried to LEARN not CRAM when I was on the island, so studying for the step was more like a review and putting together concepts learned from the different classes.

Good luck all!

Step 1 score

NBME 1 540 (4 weeks before)
NBME 3 540 (2 weeks before)

Step 1 score 229/95

read Kaplan notes and BRS pathology 3 times; listen to Dr. Goljan's audio lectures many times; did UW and reviewed both correct and incorrect answers carefully, wrote notes onto FA; reviewed FA together with notes in the final week; learned lots of experience posted in this forum.
Thank you all.
