I too do not understand how they score the exam, but from what i have read at other places, mdiva is right with her explanation.

it seems very odd to me the 2 digit and 3 digit discrepancy here. a 228 usually would correlate to a 92 or 93. and the other poster got 226, and the 2 digit was a 90. these 2 digit and 3 digit should correlate better. something fishy going on.

Read our previous discussion about this in this thread, it may help make sense out of the discrepancy.

hi finally got my score 204/84. wrote my exam on feb 2nd
started prep in november....took NBME on jan 5th got 410 corresponds to 195 in USMLE.
I dont know how to react...! is it a good score? is it sufficient please reply.have to start step 2 prep!
