i havent dont step one yet... infact i just finished premed from saint james school of medicine... i noticed alot of people passed on this topic doing the NMBE exams and also doing sampling USMLE discs... im just wondering if theres any other key sources that i should use to ensure USMLE success since most of the people on this forum are scoring like 230's

Smile Finally Passed

Got my results today and PASSED! Yeah, it has been a struggle. I am not very good at standardized tests and had some issues, but it is over and I never have to take it again!

NBME form 4 (two weeks before) 400
NBME form 2 (5 days before) 490
Kaplan cummulative 60%
Actual score 199/81

Took the exam on Dec 12, 2007
Score reported Jan 9, 2008

Best of Luck to everyone else

passed

took step 1 on feb. 4th (big mistake taking it the day after my Giants won the super bowl)

just got my PDF file today, feb 27th

passed 212/88

kaplan q-book: mid 60s
USMLE world: started off high 40s, high 50s by test time
NBME 3 the week before: 75% correct
USMLE CD the week before: 75% correct

My advice is just to study hard, learn the concepts, and do as many practice questions as possible. On the real exam, you see so many questions that you think are impossible upon first glance, but after reading it again and relying on past experience, you can normally deduce the correct answer. Reading all of the advice on this forum has been a big help.
