NBME results....Am I ready?

Hi Everyone,

I've been reading this forum for a while now and greatly appreciate all the advice and input. My ? is in regards to my NBME scores and if I'm ready to take this test.

NBME #1 (5 weeks ago) 410/195
NBME #2 (2 weeks ago) 450/206
NBME #3 (yesterday) 400/192 (I thought this one was hard)

I take my test in 2 weeks. I really need to pass this, do you think I should just go for it? Or postpone it? Biochem, Anatomy/Embryo, Nervous/Renal system have been consistently low.

Any Advice would be greatly appreciated.

my advice is this... read 1st aid 2X more, and really hammer that neuro last minute. forget anatomy/embryo now, neuro is more HY. review your nephritities and nephropathies one more time.

i think you'll be in the 200s. that NBME 2 is very encouraging, and NBME 3 is typically very hard comparatively speaking, so don't be discouraged by it.

good luck.

nbme scores

its good to see someone with more "modest scores" on this forum...I was starting to feel lonely...i heard nbme 3 and 4 are really hard and i took 4 today which was a 206 and my nbme 1 was 190, nbme 2 was 209...slightly disappointing i guess...im taking my exam on monday and my slightly lower score hurt my confidence a little...but i look at it this way...if i had done better i may have gotten lazy and not studied as much...god is making me push harder this last week so i can do really well...also i have heard 3 was the hardest of them all

a 209 and 206 are both encouraging. I'm sure you will be fine. Please let me know how it goes and how it was in relation to these NBME's.

Those are very good and encouriging grades.

The NBME states that: there is a similar correlation with the grade in NBME and with the USMLE.

SO you are PASSING.

you need to just focused on consolidating what you know

go and PASS that test

Thank you for the nice words of encouragement. I know they aren't that great, but as long as I get past this test, ill be ecstatic.

If you don't so well on your NBME you should probably check out *******.com. I used this exam for my USMLE STEP 1 review and I couldn't have been happier with the results.
