Thread: requirement for residency programs

Hello Everyone,

I have a quick question.. does anyone know if bachelor's degree is required for residency programs. Please answers with source of information if possible.

Dont think so, i have friends that matched w/o finishing their bachelors

Bachelors is not required. Some states require 60 college credit hours others 90, but no bachelors. Many of the states don't even require the pre-reqs, meaning that all 60 or 90 credit hours could technically be in anything.

Thanks guys! does any one know how many credits are required for residency in Arizona, or Maryland. If not, do you know how I can find out.

i don't think there is any requirement but i think that it just looks better if you have some college education, say maybe 90 credits. i didn't get my ** but i had maybe 140 credits or so before i went to med school. i think it was brought up once during an interview but it had no bearing on my application. it's just safer for you also.
