an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands; full autonomy in internal affairs granted in 1954; Dutch Government responsible for defense and foreign affairs

If you have been to statia you will know that citizens of statia are slowly pulling away from the dutch government. Although some of the other islands in the region have quickly removed themselves from dutch government, statia has decided to stay but I am sure things will not change much.

Another for instance to compare this situation to is Puerto Rico. They are a US teritory (much like statia in comparison to holland). in any case Puerto rico medical schools are taught in spanish.

I would not worry about this at all. SESOM will not be taught in Dutch. In fact I think the high school will be switching to english in the future. (at least according to the 4 boys I occassionally tutor in biology say so)

AZskeptic, that website says that they only accredit bachelors and masters programs.

Also, the med school on Saba and St. Maarten (AUC) are going to be in the same class as St. Eustatius (Netherlands Antilles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia under future status)

They are in the process of looking at the accreditation situation in NA, including med schools, on behalf of the govt.

I recommend that you email the admissions and ask them. It put any and all of my fears to rest.
