Hey,

I bought a ticket from AA for St. Martin and from there I got one for Winair to statia. Anyways, I've been trying to call winair to see how much baggage I can take with me b/c I have two bags each 50 lbs plus a carry on and I was told by someone that I can only about 20 lbs? Anyone know? How much would they charge me for going over the limit?

Students pay for overweight luggage all the time. I don't think I ever paid over $100.

Just bring it, I didn't even get charged for my extra baggage.

As far as I know WinAir allows up to 20kgs....that's right kgs. Convert that in your head. However, for future reference you can fly with USAir and they will check your luggage all the way through to Statia with their 50 lbs limit. That should save you some money on paying excess luggage fees. But yea, students pay all the time. Although there have been times where I wasnt required to pay for my excess luggage. Luck of the draw I guess.
