Thread: UMHS, St. Kitts ARP Fall 2012

I was recently accepted to the ARP program for Fall 2012. I would like if anyone who is planning on attending UMHS this upcoming fall, ARP or MD1, will reply. I am also wondering if anyone who has completed or is in the process of completing ARP will be kind enough to give me insight into their experience? Thank you!

Hey , I have also been accepted by UMHS for the ARP-MAy 2012 session. So, may be after I am done with ARP, I could let you know. I personally don't think that it is tough semster but it might help to provide a smooth transition to med school.

Hey! If I understood correctly, we won't need to purchase books for our ARP semester. I'm guessing it's based on course packets/notes.

If a student get into the ARP program and pass it, is the mcat
still require to start med1 @ UMHS

Hmm.. I got an email saying the book list would be coming out in a few weeks. so we might have to purchase some books.

And Dr. Prince: According to the UMHS website the MCAT is required so I suggest emailing someone from the school and asking them. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

If you pass ARP you are fine, you don't have to then take the MCAT. And ARP does not need to purchase books, you are provided with the course packets.
