Are those for CERTAIN the books that we need for class? Has anyone looked into how much it would cost to have them shipped to St.Kitts or would I just be better off buying them and bringing them in my suitcase. So much stuff...so little packing space...

AND.....It is much better to have the books shipped. It will save you the space you need. By the way have asked what to bring and what not to bring? When I first came I brought things that can be found on the Island, but I did not know, so I came with heavy load of luggages......

Oh so you're already there. Well there are several things that come to mind, i can't decide if i should bother bringing my printer and extra ink cartridges. Also basics iiii can't live without include: cetaphil cleanser, crystal light, cream of wheat...just to name a few. Have you seen that kind of stuff on the island?

Should i also pack lots of school supply essentials: paper, pens, stapler, hole puncher, highlighters, etc...or are those easy to get on the island?

and one last essential, how's the milk there? Good quality? same as north america? Do they have 1%

Hey

well i have been on the island, nevis, more so..than kitts.but they have the same things

We def have cetaphil cleanser.....we have oatmeal..more so than cream of wheat..im not t oo sure though, cuz i eat oatmeal than cream of wheat, so i wouldnt be able to tell u..pretty much u can get a lot of the same things u can from the states..jus more expensive..for example..like a box of cereal (special K to be exact) is about $19 EC where as in the states its like *i think* 4 or 5 US...so things like that...

PPl hve usually brought books and pens here..and then if u need more u can get them here..and the campus has a bookstore..

Milk..i personally get the boxed milk..but they do have regular milk as well..but i really like the boxed milk and my roommate likes the silk milk..so its been ok so far..and i have been ehre for about 4 months now...

with the BOOKS...well i only bought a couple of things..b/c i had most of it..but i think shipping it to the school directly is the best..but i dont think u need everything on the list ...

if u need to know anything else just ask

Bring as much crystal light with you ask you can!!
When you see how much it is here, it will make your eyes cross.
You can usually find fresh milk. I haven't seen 1% but i know they have whole, 2% and skim. Cream of wheat definitely isn't a problem.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any fruit2o here. But i'll keep looking

There is a store in town called "Office Depot", wonder how they came up with the name, and they have all the school supplies that you will need....I actually thought about bringing my own printer from the US, but I had limited space. I found the same exact printer here for double the price......I know it cost me more, but I found what I needed......
Pens, notebooks and mostly everything else is about the same cost as in US, and I only noticed the major price differrence in printers, and inks.....

You will later find out that you did not need most of these books. Trust me!
