So, I was just wondering if a current student can tell me more about UMHS Clinicals. Are most of them greenbook?

510 points If you read the other thread, you will find all the information you could possibly ask for. There is also a ton of information on the main thread on clinicals if you do a quick search. Good luck.
P.S.- UMHS has secured plenty of spots, and they are all green book with the exception of one in Chicago which is green under the family practice umbrella. You should still definitely do a search though.

"The service we render to others is really the rent we pay for our room on this earth. It is obvious that man is himself a traveler; that the purpose of the world is not 'to have and to hold' but 'to give and to serve." - Sir Wilfred T. Grenfell
Ok.. lets get serious, where are these sites.

Wow Joe. Its funny you say that. UMHS does give specific information to the fifth semester students and regularly informs the the first - fourth semester students of any important changes.
674 points dude, you go to SMU, i was there they dont give out information about clinicals. talked to a few AUA students and said the list online really isnt all that accurate. Also, not one schools tells what rotations and how many spots they have at each. Get a grip. look at the investment in the campus at UMHS, look at where the profs come from the school very legit. Pharm prof who is teaching for the block is a visitng prof from UCLA, they have had visiting profs teach a few weeks from a couple US schools. Ill take an US trained prof over one from India anyday

674 points Fine MUA, realized that afterwards. MUA's clinical situation is not great. So if you want to keep complaining that UMHS wont tell you exactly where the hospitals are with exactly how many spots at hospital fine. You will be sitting and waiting for a rotation while the students at UMHS that are clinicals at the same time as you will go back to back green rotations with zero breaks, unless they want them.
10528 points i don't think its unreasonable to ask where these rotations are and that w/o these posted on the website as offical information, to question whether they exist and whether they are green or not. It IS information that should be available to prospective students to make their decision--like a medical chart...if its not documented, it didn't happen...
and i don't go to smu or mua...my alma mater DOES post its clinical affliations, what rotations are available, and if you ask, will tell you ~ how many spots are available...

674 points what does posting them on a website do. I can say we r affilitated with X,Y,Z hospital and really not be or have only 2 spots at each. Call the school and ask, where they have them and what rotations they have at each. Studnets at UMHS know where they are and no one is complaining. They are ALL GREEN and alot of them.
10528 points alot...it makes them offical...anyone could come on here and say whatever they want...this is an anonymous unoffical forum... it would be beyond foolish for someone to make a decision about which caribbean school to attend based on what amounts to hearsay...w/o a verifiable source there is just no proof that what is said here about UMHS clinicals is true...you SAY they are all green, but where is your proof? until there is any, that statement has to be questioned...
and from what i understand there is no one just yet IN clinicals...so who would there be TO complain?
