OK uagdoc, you already put out a public warning about directly attacking people. Karplus didn't even bother quoting my last message, because as usual, it isn't ever relevant to any semblance of a thread of a debate--it was just simply a vehicle to make yet another personal attack. I've called him out on it on this thread, you've made a public warning about it on this thread, and since Karplus is so full of himself seeing this as "his" thread, he feels he can say whatever he wants.

If you don't issue the infraction, I'll escalate it to someone who does. I'm just giving you the opportunity to keep it "in house" and be consistent with what you said.

Oh my Gosh Hexo, Lighten up. I think he was talking about giving someone else an infraction.

The tread was a valid argument against all this "who is better than who" rhetoric, and this "the sky over UAG is falling" rhetoric.


We need to love each other for who we are.


We need to tolerate other's differences. They are just differences and not points of contention.

Heirarchys of schools, people and things are simply invalid. We all have good and bad points.

Hexo once gave me the shirt right off his back. Literally, I am not joking. I still have it.

I was going to surgery at my regular time and he was trying to make up a surgery class. They didn't like my button up white shirt. Hexo could have let them kick me out and take my place. Instead he gave me his scrub shirt.

True story.

Hexo, I do value your contribution and hope you continue to write in this forum but I don't think you are in a position to demand in public for someone to be reprimanded. We are all adults here and I think worst personal attacks were made in this thread and others threads. The warning was for everyone so we can keep the argument professional. I wanted this thread to stay focused about the issues and not about personal attacks. When you issue a statement like the one bellow, it demostrates a lack of respect. By threatening to escalate this matter you are giving me an ultimatum which I don't feel the need to comply. Please feel free to take this thread up to the valuemd admnistrators.

People have been bandying about there opinions on physician diversity but I actually found a study on california physicians.

Whites and Asians are overrepresented as physicians compared to the general population.

While African Americans and Latinos are underrepresented, they are more likely to work in underserved areas.



It showed variance in the states population with respect to doctor population.

61.7% of Physicians label themselves white compared to
46% of the population being white.

5.2% of Physicians label themselves latino compared to
32.4%% of the population being latino.

3.2% of Physicians label themselves African American compared to
6.7% of the population being African American.

But those cream of the crop asians have it better than whites for overrepresentation.
26%% of Physicians label themselves Asian compared to
11.2% of the population being asian.
