i hate to answer my an own question...

i emailed the student services office and they said that the drop in res stats was due to several reasonable factors, mainly the fact that:

"the majority of our students are not required to report their residency matches because they have completed the 5th pathway". apparently there is some disconnect between former students of uag and the school. he went on to cite the amount of transfers as well.

I can certainly imagine now with the 5th pathway being eliminated, unless the AMA reverses their decision, it may have an impact on the residency placements for UAG students!
