Extremly disappointing. UAGDOC like person try to creat some communication. But the school has decided to speak nothing. Our future is on line. The management is getting their pay checks while they are making us loose our 12 months paycheck.I hope , for god's shake they come with good or bad news, so we know where we stand. Our money, future and families are on like. Will they respect that fact?? or will try to recruit new students ?? Where are our student leaders? Make management speak please.

your frustration is understandable and shared by hundreds of students. I really dont think it will play a role on how the information will be distributed. I think by now you should know where you stand; you are in for 6 years. Everything else would be considered a rumor. Just like the last one I heard. Today students were discussing that Cabrillo bought UAG from the Leanos and he is going to make it very competitive. I always thought Cabrillo was being used as an anatomy toy at Ross. Good luck

The news from AMA say-Nothing doing. Students can take transfer.
School says-They are working on it.
Student leaders report-AMA was sympthetic.
What can we take out of this.
Can we know, where can we go now???? Who can sell the hope??

If you have ten bucks I can sell you some hope.

No, really. The AMA said we are open to other options than backing down. And, this includes a lot.

AMA was very sympathetic to the students.

What can we take out of this?

AMA is willing to help look for alternatives.

UAG has a vested interest in making their program more appealling than just 6 years in Mexico.

For some there is no place to go. For the antsy few they are jumping ship into who knows worse or better straits.

But I am still selling hope $10 a pop. That comes with a upbeat mp3 fight song and a flower of hope.

Durlinga, Sorry it took so long but this is not really the thread for this answer.

Your schedule varies every semester.

For the first two years: You get a lunch from 12p to 1 pm usually. There are 2 - 2hr classes in the morning (starting at 8am and 10 am) and 1 - 2hr classes in the afternoon (starting at 1pm).

On the worst schedule days there is an 7am class that is clinical and a 3pm to 5pm lab. This is rare to have on the same day. Ocsasionally you will have a 3pm to 8pm stint in a clinic.

In general it is a full work week. A lot of the time you get off at noon or have a class released early.

Most classes are 2hrs but end up with a 10 min break in between 1 and second hour and sometimes end at 10 of the second hour. 5 hr clinics give breaks and you have to wait for patients.

Some people think it is too much time in class but it is really Quite fair.

For the second two years you are more like an intern in the hospital, but you get home early most days. You do have periods of Guardia where you are in the hospital non-stop. It is like being on "in-house-call."

karplus explained it well. Providencia is expensive and the foos is not good. El centro has typical mexican food and it is not that americanized if you are looking for regional cousine. McDonalds and burger king are sub-standard with big macs in foam containers and fried apple pies ( 15 years old way of cooking at these places). Italian restaurants are a joke with maybe 1 exception. Tacos is the way to go.

Sadly this area has very little concern for health and fitness. There are some gyms, but nothing like in the USA (hours, functionality, coolling, ventilation, etc). Health food is rare, and if you find something healthly, buy it all, or you might not see any more for a year or more. You can still live healthy, but you have to know your way around.

Like agctx3 said, you need to actively look. Healthy living is a new concept and as such is mostly grass-roots around here. Costco helps.
