congratulations on the interview. here's a couple of questions you might want to ask at your interview:

"What is this year's residency match rate?"

"What was last year's residency match rate?"

"Whats really going on with the 5th pathway?" (if they tell you nothing, then get out as fast as you can.)

"How many UAG students this year are completing some of their clinicals in the U.S.?"

"Is the kaplan course that is offered during 4th semester included in our tuition?"

These are very important questions you might want to ask and is in your best interest as a potential student here to know. Do your research before actually deciding to attend UAG so you know exactly what you're getting into before coming down.

Thank you for your concern, dc99. I can't wait to get started, however not via the 5th pathway.

One thing to keep in mind when giving patients statistics in the future, dc99: For a given population, if there is x %age chance of something happening, for any one individual, the chance is actually either 0%, or 100%.

Several U.S. physicians who went to UAG warned me of it's bureaucracy, complimented the clinical education, and said that in general, the education "depends on you" or "is what you make of it." By this forum alone, I already have a sense of exactly what they mean.

Anyone planning to start at UAG this Fall?

I admire you for your courage and positivity. I strongly hope that you retain that mentality after your first semester at UAG- most people arrive with that mentality, and we've pretty much all lost it by now. But don't just rely on whats said on valuemd. Go to uagmed.com and see whats being posted there. Good luck in your studies!

If I had listened to the all negative crowd, I had not gone to the school. I already mentioned on a previous post that prospective students should look up independently UAG graduates and ask their opinion. No offense but, when you are going through tough times you tend to blow up out of proportion what goes on down there.

If you think I'm blowing things out of proportion down here, I'll buy you a plane ticket so you can come visit for a bit. Listen to the morale of the students here right now. Listen to their experiences through the years and what they would advise.

seriously..i'll buy you a ticket...volaris has some cheap specials and you'll also get dunkin doughnuts if you fly in the morning....its the best.
