a couple other recs

Hamburgesas Bernies? Maybe the page doesn't let that name be published, but it is Ber-nies without the hyphen. If you are looking for a nice place to eat I can recommend a couple great places. For fine dining, I don't think you can beat either Cocina 88 or Sacromonte. Each has their own charm, but both have outstanding food (the steak at Cocina 88 is probably the best I have eaten...better than La Matera and others, in my opinion).

For Chinese food, I highly recommend House of Chang on Patria (in the Sebastian Bach strip mall next to the Pemex). For Italian, my personal favorite is Trattoria Focaccia (not to be confused with Focaccia Guadalajara) This restaurant off of La Paz (right near Americas/Union) has the best salad bar I have seen in Guad. Bon apetit!

Pizzas

For great deep dish, there's Peter Piper Pizza on Ave. Patria, too bad they don't deliver.

For delivery of a damn good handtossed, try Pino y Bush. My favorite is the Pepperoni y Chorizo.
3641-1721
Manuel Acuna 2975-A

Also, I stay far away from Benedetti's, whose pizza is completely covered with sesame seeds....nasty.

a few more of my favs.

Vezzo Ristorante (Italian)
3640-2960 (Servicio a Domicilio)
Ave. Aztecas #1177 B-2

Vezzo has great thin pizza, calzones, and my favorite spot for chicken alfredo.

La Savora (Argentinian)
3642-7550 (no delivery, only para llavar)
Terranova 1227

La Savora has a short menu but everything on it is tasty (and cheap). Pepitos, pastas, steaks, salads, and beeeeeeeeer.

dont forget the outrageous prices at these restaurants and at Ber-nies you can actually spend about 10 dollars in a normal hamburger. I cook at home; do diarrhea up to now!

San Fransisco Salads Co.
3640-0063 (Servicio a domicilio)
Nueva Escocia 1486 Local. 14
entre Montevideo y Pablo Nerudo

I've never had a salad here, but the subs are the bomb! Good place to go for the 1 hour lunch break from the ICB.
