I believe UAG was going for all the marbles not just an extension.

I do not know if anything was finalized. However, communication would be nice. I personally know students that will not be back after spring break if they still know nothing

my friend who is an attending at NYMC overheard the fifth pathway dept dicussing a lawsuiet filled by UAG, now i am not 100% sure this information is accurate, however, she did overhear some important details pertaining to the LS. Apparently, Dr. P made this desicion on his own which was against AMA policy. For the AMA to completly discontinue to FP program, the entire commitee needed to vote on it and this mistake will be targeted by UAG lawers in their suite. I am not sure which court they filed with, prob federal court

according to the letter, the decision to cancel quinto pathway was approved by the ama committee. How is it possible for one doctor to cancel quinto pathway without the approval of the ama?

same question here "del este al oeste". It was my understanding that Dr. P promoted the abolishment of 5th pathway AND the commitee voted unanimously so I am confused now

personally

I would definitely stay for the rest of the semester because having "failed out of a mexican medical school" permanently attach to your resume for the rest of your professional life does not look very impressive to your future employers. Personally, I believe this uag will find a way to solve the quinto pathway problem because the american pie is a cash cow for its international program. Or we can always do the first two years of basic science and transfer back to the states

Ls

I cannot varify this, but I did not know Dr. P was pres of AMA and ACG-- until my friend told me she overheard this during the same conversation, so at least that bit of info was correct. One of the individuals who took part in the conversation was the dean of admissions for the NY office who freq visits NYMC, I will ask her next time I speak to her the identities of the other parties.
