The way UAG treats its best and brightest

UAG beating me down once again

Summary: Excellent student takes a voluntary leave of absence for personal reasons, good GPA, all is well. Talks to assoc. dean who says "Good luck" and gives some extra info about medical matters. The end...

...until attempting to register for the upcoming Jan/08 semester, to which he finds he owes the university full tuition for the period he didn't attend because he didn't fill out a simple 2-page form. Nobody told him--neither Dr. M, nor Lic. Red Flowers who sent him an email 3 weeks into classes informing him that he was dropped due to non-attendance. (Point: they had contact with him all along, just neglected to mention that little bit about $9200, and why would they when they can make money?)

Attempts to petition Dr. M, Lic. Red Flowers, Dr. VL (clinical director) all have come to nothing. Nobody is willing and/or seems to be able to do anything. Even if it's 100% true, nobody is even making any attempt to reassure/making phone calls, assist, except in the most superficial (read: useless) way.

A lesson to all: don't take time off without triple checking with administration, even if you've never failed a single exam much less a class--your academic record is meaningless when faced with the almighty dollar.

I am really sorry to hear that. I will triple check anything here. Your story is incredible and unbelievable; how can they charge you for a semester that you didnt attend? and just because a paper that wasnt fill out! Hopefully UAG will come to realize that there is a mistake and you will continue with your dream. Good luck

Sorry to hear that you got in UAG's poral to Hell (A.K.A. severe communication problem). Knowing all the things they want, but never tell you they want, I am not the least bit surprised that happened to you.

Lic. Red Flowers is as worthless as a potted plant from what I hear (I have not had to deal with her personally; I only know that "complaints" are by appointment only). However, I hope that in the end, Village of Wolves or Dr. M.S. can do something to help so you do not have to pay for dead time.

Hexokinase, I did the same thing but kept payng and went to some classes and took some tests. Will I be in the place that you are. Or are my outlooks better.

I had 3 deaths in the family in one year, close Aunt, Father and Stepfather. It took a lot of fight out of me.

Are those circumstaces that will be looked at.
