When to apply?

I have a couple of questions about the application process.

1.) Is there an application deadline for the January or August semester?

2.) Should I apply even if I haven't finished my pre-requisites (I still have to take Organic 1 and 2) nor the MCAT? Some people have told me that they applied early because that way the school could tell you what you where missing, or what were the next steps in order to be admitted.
BUT, I don't know if I should do this because then they could REJECT me since I haven't taken Organic 1 and 2, nor the MCAT.

3.) If I get admitted for the January semester, can I start in August if I change my mind? If so, how can I tell the school that I wish to change my starting date?

Thanx!

Apply and you will have answers to all of your questions. I also suggest that you apply to the program asap because uag's administration fee has gone from 1000 dollars to 1500 bucks. Who knows what is going to happen in the future. Another thing is that you also have the dollar deflating in the future years and that can lead to your col increase in mexico.

There is no deadline if you apply and have everything ready at least 3-4 weeks before the wished start date.

2.) Should I apply even if I haven't finished my pre-requisites (I still have to take Organic 1 and 2) nor the MCAT? Some people have told me that they applied early because that way the school could tell you what you where missing, or what were the next steps in order to be admitted.

Do not apply until you have everything completed or at least within one semester of finishing. There is no secrets on what you would be "missing"; if you have all the prerequesites, money to pay and mcat taken, you should get in. As stated before, the rest is up to you.

3.) If I get admitted for the January semester, can I start in August if I change my mind? If so, how can I tell the school that I wish to change my starting date?
yes, you can change your start date up to one year. After that you need to send a new application fee ($75)and a new administration fee ($1500). You need to call your admissions officer and tell them about the deferral. It is very simple. One thing is that if you dont finish your prereqs and mcat, UAG will no take you in. The mcat that they ask is at least 24 if weak on areas like GPA and EC's or less depending on how strong your GPA and EC's are. I still havent been able to see a "rejected" student but I have noticed that everybody has completed a degree, prereqs, mcat and more so I dont think the UAG will accept you without the general requirements completed. UAG has gone through couple of changes in the last 2 years and the requirements will be higher according to the "force" exerted on the UAG by the Feds lately. The UAG needs to increase % passing of USMLE so it is expected to accept stronger applicants and change a "few" nonsensical practices.

Thanx!
Good Luck

Yes I agree with E2W. Every year they increase tuition and increase "fees" whenever they can. These are the one that you can see, wait until you see the "hidden" fees

Talk to the school office. I mostly agree with Putin. However, if you apply and defer, you can probably (ask) not have to repay the $1000/$1500 fee (whichever it is).

The school does fee you to death, but oddly this school is still cheaper and more school for the $ than most other foreign school.

Yes, they will excuse or "pardon" your administrative fee not before they scare the hell out of you during orientation asking you to pay that again and you threatening them that you are taking your 200K somewhere else if they dont take care of that. But , UAG will take care of that. They rather give pardon your $1000 but get $199,000 in return to mexico and themselves.

Not just for the application fees, etc, but every fee you pay the school. They do NOT have an organized computer infrastructure and will ask to see proof of payment for many things on many occasions. MAKE A FOLDER!

I have seen proof of students actually keeping a receipt folder. It is more important than finding an apartment!!!!
