The International Medical Education Directory (IMED) provides an accurate and up-to-date resource of information about international medical schools that are recognized by the appropriate government agency in the countries where the medical schools are located. The agency responsible for this recognition in most countries is the Ministry of Health. Medical schools that are recognized by the appropriate agencies in their respective countries are listed in the International Medical Education Directory. A medical school is listed in IMED after FAIMER receives confirmation from the Ministry of Health or other appropriate agency that the medical school is recognized by the Ministry or other agency. FAIMER also updates the International Medical Education Directory as information about medical schools is received from Ministries of Health or other appropriate agencies. In order to sit for the usmles, a medical school must be listed on the imed. UAG has no problem because it is listed by imed. This new school, CMU, is barely opened about six months ago has been promising imed listing since it opened and nothing has occured yet. I just learned it today that the school's forum is locked because the moderators are running out patience on waiting for the school's imed listing. Without cmu, I could not have gotten my self to senior member in such amount of time. Now, I guess I am just going to spend the rest of the time watching bunch of green peas run pass me.

Interesting. I hope that it works out for all those that paid tuition and still do not know if they can finish there. However, it does look like someone stent a few million on building the school, so I would bet it will be okay in time. Probably politics. I do not know. I just looked at the forum... It was the first time I knew that school existed.
