· Third. I have seen the posted message. I tend to think it is possibly accurate, but I cannot substantiate it with any facts yet. I would welcome any concrete resources on which this report is based. Assuming it is accurate (and I think it may be), you are quick to blame the school. UAG does have some faults and a few bad teachers, but overall is a legitimate school with some very outstanding teachers.

You are demonstrating a result, but assuming a cause. Maybe UAG should accept some of the blame, but look at other possibilities.

· Over half of the students are from Puerto Rico and most of them plan to go back to Puerto Rico where they do not need the USMLE to practice medicine. Some do not care what they get on the USMLE.
· Many do not have a high enough level of English to do well on a timed test written in English and cannot do well on the USMLE regardless of if they even went to Harvard or Yale.
· Call it what you want, but to us, UAG is an opportunity that looks at potential (maybe financially driven, maybe not, or maybe some of both). If you are seeking an opportunity to be a doctor, UAG will likely give that opportunity to you. However, with any venture of risk, there will be some failure. Not everyone here will succeed when given the opportunity; that is just a harsh fact. Again, I cannot blame that on UAG.

I am sure UAG doesnt want any "malinchista" enrolled with them. I would love to see the Ross statistics. I mean, if we can see the "real" UAG number, we should be able to see Ross"numbers" too. Can you provide those for us stoverty? This definetely would make your opinion stronger and more valid when comparing both schools. thanks

This is the 2005 anual report from the NMBE itself. They only go so far as to group all Step 1 Non- (US/Canadian) schools together. It gives all schools a 67%.

Stoverty, come up with your source or shut up. Show me how I can get this information from an unbiased source and I will be happy.

There might be a few who try to take it just as a secondary option to going BACK HOME in case they decide to practice in the US, but most of them DO NOT TAKE IT!!!

So stop blaming everything on everyone else, like you claim I do. I BLAME UAG for the crap they deal out. I paid $16 grand every semester to be there, and I have the right to a quality education..

POSITIVE>..... There ARE good teachers at UAG. unfortunately... the teachers dont make the tests... UAG admin does. And most tests do NOT prepare you for USMLE, nor do the teachers have the chance to prepare you for it, or even for their oen TESTS.

I am still trying to decode him ...and his tests are the real killer. However, in all fairness to him, I heard from the students that took his last "extraordinario" in Embryology that he actually had a good test that was fair. Maybe he is getting better... or it may have been a fluke. We shall see.

Two students were asking for information to compare UAG to the Carribean schools. From all sources I have heard only UAG and St. Georges are in competition. These are not published sources.
