Thread: Graduation and Attrition Rate for US Students at UAG

Hi, I am considering applying to UAG but I would like to know, what is the attrition rate for US students at this school? In other words, what percentage of the incoming students in the first year class remain in the program for the pre-clinical science, and what percentage graduate from the program? From what I hear many IMG schools have high attrition rates and this is discouraging me because it is a huge financial burden, and it would be disasterous if I went to school and was then told to leave.

I don't think that people are told to leave, although I'm sure that some people do "flunk out". I think a lot of people in foreign programs transfer out or decide to quit.
This is my hypothesis, if you will on this subject. Take it for what it's worth.

Well the data I am really interested in is the percentage of US students that actually complete the entire program. Flunking out is basically the same as being told to leave.

In my class 70%(estimate) of the students finished the program. Students leave due to transfer to other schools(very few to US schools), change their minds about medicine as a career, can't adjust to the culture or just don't study. I am almost 100% sure that everyone graduated in my class without any problems if they were serious about studying. I never heard of anyone being asked to leave. At least in my class, these are my best estimates. I have no idea how it was before I was there or the way things are now.
