Post Anyone interested in Gyms?

Hello,
Anyone interested in blowing some steam or staying in shape ? Well if you know of any gyms around or near UAG post them here. Also if interested about Martial Arts schools post them here. I will try to post info about them as I get it.

Remember is important to keep in shape. School can be very stressing.

One of my classmates take Karate at CU, the main campus.

Gyms are a very individual thing but there are tons.

I would like information on those that have monthly fees, and do not charge hundreds up front for a membership.

Good idea for a post UAGMD

The Gold's Gym in Plaza Bonita comes with free lung cancer Nothing like a nice high respiration-inducing exercise beside 5 high capacity ozone generaters. (the amount of ozone required to kill the pathogens in the gym is also the same amount that causes irratation that leads to lung scarring, reduced lung capacity and cancer) Can anyone say "stupid"?

acgtacgtacgt,
Interesting point your bring up. Has anyone mention that to the administration?

I have info of some gyms near UAG. I will post them after I am done with my CS test next week. One of those is the Gold's gym on Xochilt. The rest are martial arts school, mostly Muay Thai and Valetudo.

I will get the info soon for the gyms. I am asking around about the monthly fee only gyms. But in the mean time Valetudo or Muay Thai on a monthly fee wouldn't be a bad idea.

Good News!

The Gold's gym at Plaza Bonita (the closest one for many of us) has removed the ozone generators! This means you can now take a deep breath as you exercise and do not have to worry about lung inflamation. The rating of this gym just went up to near the top of the list.

Muay Thai is the national fighting art of Thailand. You use elbows, knees, fists, shins, feet, etc. to strike. It is a great art to learn and to get in great shape. You can visit some of the classes at Gold's gym. The one on Ave. Xochilt and Plaza Bonita has great teachers that travel frequently to Thailand to train. One of those teachers is Ulises. There is another good teacher but is pretty far from UAG. It's on Medrano. Around UAG there's a couple of Gym´s that teach Muay Thai. Two on Ave. xochilt
