residency after UNIBE?

Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding residency, if anyone recently graduated from UNIBE could answer; if not any reply from anyone will be grateful.
How important are LOR(recommedations) for getting a residency in the US. and where UNIBe students get these LORs from, and how much it is or it isnt helpful in an interview(for residency)??? (as they do the clinical rotations in DR)
I hope my question is clear. anyways thanks for the help.

Hi all,
maybe my question wasn't clear. Let me put it in a simple way.. if possible can somebody give me inputs on residency in USA. I mean that-- USMLE scores are the only thing that determine your residency match or LORs are also important? my other question was that does UNIBE students get their LORs from doctors from DR?? and how does that work??
thanks in advance

there are three factors important for residency in the US, first most important are USMLE scores, second, US clinical experience and third, Visa status, if you are a us citizen or greencard holder then your chances are better. LoR's from foreign medical school faculty are not really considered that important. Yes its pretty easy to obtain LoRs from UNIBE, just ask the professors at the end of the semester, if you had good grades in his or her class. try to ask those doctors that specialized themselves in the US, thats what I did. but once again, most important are your board scores, and having clinical experience in the US, and if you have a LoR from a doctor in the US, such as where you did your clinicals that greatly helps.
