Medrivera

Hola,

Cualquier cosa me avisas.

Cuidate y que Dios te bendiga.
Ozzie

i could talk hours about san pedro... couldnt you??

i really think the forum director should pull the plug on all of you
none of this gets anywhere except confuse future md's
and maybe perhaps dissuade them

one thing for sure you all spend alot of time using this wonderful new technology. Thank god it exists. We never had it. We hardly had lights!
but why use it to repeat the same nonsense over and over and over.
why isnt anyone every talking about the courses, the teachers
the day to day life there, the amusements, the beautiful woman, the language, the beaches, the arudous task of studying in a foreign nation, Caonabo for that matter could fill a book.
engaging in this kind of conversation that is really the heart of your daily lives might shed more light on those interested in coming. Condemnations
and personal attacks are all you can muster here?

Take care and God Bless.
Ozzie.

Yes, I would have to agree with you Doctor. Your point is well taken however it is missed!

The women here are beautiful and there are many excellent resorts to go to on the weekends, unlike when you were here! My family and I have spent numerous weekends at the Dominicus, it's a great family place! There are other Professors that could fill a book! The language, I couldn't believe how fast the Dominicans speak spanish, it's lightning fast!!!

Regards,

PILOTOM (MD: UCE '04)

at last

we have gone back every year sometimes twice yearly since 1980.
we have seen the entire island many times including 4 trips overland and by air to Haiti. I am a pro photographer also and there are as you know
bateyes of Haitains and early islanders ( the cocolos who speak english) who live in these
very poor slum like areas. Im leaving for Sosua in a week where i hope to shoot the sugar mill workers outside of Sosua. There are hamlets of haitain communities all over. I hate the tourists who pile in sip their drinks never amble outside their hotel and go home and tell their friends that they saw the Dominican Republic. The journalistic photography is immense and draws me there everyyear. Most of my cohorts ( few who i see anymore)
hate the mere thought that I even bring up the DR in conversation. They abhor the place. They had the roughest time in the school in the mid to late seventies and SPM was so much more backwards than it is today. imaginate?! I seem to be the only elder here on the forums except my friend who will remain anonymous. Us two. The others literally will have nothing to do with the school the island the people and many have laughed at me derisively for my affection for the place.
